Longridge Farm stay accomodation to open soon
Well it's been pretty busy on Longridge Farm lately. We have just about finished building our new farm stay accomodation and at this stage have an opening date of 1st September.
We've done a website - longridge.com.au - but it still needs heaps of work. The fellow who was to design it had some problems so I had to do it myself in a tearing hurry. Hopefully I'll get the chance to improve it!!
Fiona (Misty's foal) is growing in leaps and bounds. She's a big girl already and has a very independent streak. At 6 months now she will be weaned over the next few weeks and probably make a paddock mate for Robbie for a while.
I've just started to work again on Robbie. He remembers alot of the training we did before so I can see him being relatively easy to get to the saddle stage.
Cherrie has been my riding school pony up until lately, and I've now started taking her out on trail rides to give her some experience. She has a great temperament, but not too keen on the work she's getting (perhaps I'm a little heavy for her!), but she seems to really enjoy getting out in the bush and has no hesitation in getting out in front of the other horses.
Venus has returned home and is heavily in foal - just not 100% sure when she's due unfortunately. Could be early August - or early October - just not sure when she was covered successfully. Anyway - time will tell. She has fully recovered from her illness and has put all of the weight she lost back on again and seems happy to be back.
Longridge Fiona is growing up into a beautiful Highland filly. CroftCnoc Cherie (pictured) has been doing some Pony Club work and really enjoying herself.
