Highlands all safe after devastating bushfires in Victoria

These photo's were taken as Katy evacuated from Jindivik on Saturday morning and then returned on Sunday afternoon to see if her property had been saved. Fortunately for her all was OK.
Scott McGregor from Tonimbuk was also very lucky with just the fringe of his property burnt.
Harkaway Lodge Stud in Harkaway also escaped narrowly with the fires burning withing 700 meters of the property. If it wasn't for "Elvis" the water bomber helicopter, I'm sure many properties would have been lost.
Thankfully all Highland ponies are safe. Many were evacuated to Anna Thirkell's CroftCnoc Stud at Garfield on Friday when the weather forecast for Saturday was very bad and a fire was already going in the Bunyip State Forest.
